Start with a relaxed have-a-go session, join a guided taster session, or progress to a beginner course. Whatever you choose, we make it easy to take your first steps into archery.
Have a go sessions
A relaxed, informal session where you can try archery for the first time in a fun and low pressure environment.
Taster Seessions
A structured, beginner friendly session with coaching to teach you the basics of archery safely and confidently.
Beginner Courses
A series of coached sessions designed to develop your skills, technique, and confidence over time.
Venues
Stafford Archers offers year round shooting with access to both indoor and outdoor venues in Staffordshire, giving members and beginners a varied and enjoyable archery experience.
Indoor Shooting
During the winter months, we shoot indoors at our venue at Gainsborough Works which club members have 24/7 access. This provides a comfortable and controlled environment, ideal for beginners learning the basics as well as experienced archers maintaining their technique.
Outdoor Shooting
In the summer, we move to our outdoor range at St Leonards Sports Field off St Georges road, where archers can enjoy shooting at longer distances in an open and relaxed setting. Outdoor sessions offer a great opportunity to develop skills and experience a different style of shooting.
Club Shoots
Regular club shoots take place 3 times a week and are open to members of all abilities. These sessions provide a friendly and social environment where you can practice, improve, and enjoy archery at your own pace.
